The greatest, and most influential, songwriter of our times is 80 today, long may he reign. Here's a great song from Rough and Rowdy Ways, an album he released when he was 79:

I bet he can't wait to get the Never Ending Tour restarted.

Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'

Love the atmosphere in this

The square introducing him and the uber-square kid with glasses fiddling with the stands
It's easy to overlook just how good a rhythm/flat-picking guitarist is is.

The harmonica solo at the end gets me every time.

I did like Rory Gallagher's version - great song

He was pretty cool in the Travelling Wilburys

Not too proud to take a back seat
Great band.

He has also generated some of the best cover versions.

Bow down to him on Sunday, salute him when his birthday comes...

Cannot believe he is 80....

Brilliant artist, elusive , mercurial in all his quicksilver changes down the years, from minstrel boy to ancient wandering sage.

I am so glad that Blood On The Tracks , Bringing It All Back Home, Planet Waves, Blonde On Blonde, Infidels, Street Legal were part of my time...

Happy Birthday, Bob.

Long may you spin down the foggy ruins of time...

I am not that crazy about the early, folķie Dylan, but this is an amazing song

So stripped back and spare....

Such American imagery......like Steinbeck...like Edward Hopper

A still from a film...

"I turn my head back to the room, where my love and I have laid.....

The sidewalk and the sign.."
